Challenge
The Moth is a nonprofit group presenting storytelling events across the United States and abroad. Since its launch, The Moth has presented thousands of true stories, told live and without notes. A robust and compelling brand expression can help evolve the organization’s reach as it expands across formats.
Outcome
I leveraged decades of The Moth’s iconic heritage for a contemporary audience. Taking cues from the original identity, I celebrated the power of the individual to establish a design system that is bold, unapologetic, and expressive. It centers the organization’s ethos: each story is true and every voice authentic.
